For two days during the last week of October, 140 speakers, known as panelists, converged to speak to an audience of more than 1,000 about ‘the effects of the emerging real-time Internet on business.’ The event? The 140 Character Conference in Los Angeles. Better known across the twittersphere as its hashtag, #140conf.
Last week, Amy Martin, founder of Digital Royalty was one of the privileged 140 who made the trek to Los Angeles after invitation from conference founder, Jeff Pulver.
It was there, in the grandeur of Kodak Theatre that Amy spoke to attendants and panelist on a three-person panel about ‘the making of an Internet (Twitter) celebrity.’ With co-panelists Shira Lazar (@shiralazar) and Stefanie Michaels (@adventuregirl) at her side, the three gurus spoke about not only how they built up their own following, but helped others build up theirs.
